ISLAMABAD:

The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Monday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in a case involving allegations against state institutions.

Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah heard the case.

During the proceedings, the court reviewed the record and noted the absence of the accused.

Following the non-appearance, the judge ordered the issuance of non-bailable arrest warrants.

The court also directed authorities to arrest Afridi and produce him before the court at the next hearing. The CM is facing charges related to making misleading statements about state institutions.
