Gang busted for illegal dog fights
A group involved in organising dog fights for gambling purposes has been arrested. According to details, Fateh Jang police took timely action and apprehended the group involved in gambling on dog fights at the Kolyar area.
During the operation, the organiser, Jamal Ali son of Qamar Zaman, a resident of Nako, Rawalpindi district, was arrested at the spot. Police seized Rs183,500 in cash, five pet dogs, five vehicles, and a sound system along with a generator from the scene. A case has been registered against the suspects under the Punjab Prevention of Gambling Ordinance, the Punjab Sound System Act, and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
