Blogger Tasha K has launched a GoFundMe campaign seeking $3.5 million from supporters to satisfy the massive defamation judgment owed to rapper Cardi B.

The fundraiser marks a significant shift in strategy for Tasha K, who has consistently maintained monthly payments since the legal battle concluded.

"For years many of you have asked me to start a fundraiser to help me pay off the judgment against me. I always refused because I believed it was my responsibility to handle it on my own," Tasha K wrote on the campaign page. "But after many conversations with you all, I'm finally listening."

The $3.5 million goal represents the full amount still owed following the 2022 federal jury verdict that found Tasha K liable for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The case stemmed from false claims the blogger made about Cardi B's personal life.

Despite appealing the verdict and filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, Tasha K remains legally obligated to pay the judgment. She currently contributes $20,000 monthly from her own resources toward the debt—a commitment she emphasized will continue regardless of GoFundMe proceeds.

"I don't have $3.5 million sitting in cash, but with the help of my community we can accelerate paying this off," she stated.

In March 2025, both parties reached a structured settlement agreement requiring Tasha K to refrain from making negative statements about Cardi B online while providing periodic financial disclosures. Cardi B's legal team continues monitoring payments through court filings.

The fundraiser represents Tasha K's acknowledgment that community support may be necessary to fully resolve the financial strain. "Even while making my payments, creditors can still bring me back to court for examinations and filings," she noted.

Meanwhile, Cardi B has moved forward professionally and personally, recently welcoming a child with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs while enjoying success with her album "Am I The Drama?" and accompanying sold-out tour.
