Father booked for kidnapping newborn

HYDERABAD:

A newborn's biological father and his family members have been booked in an FIR for kidnapping the child from Lady Dufferin hospital in Hyderabad, around two hours after her birth.

Complainant Huma Nadeem, grandmother, stated in the FIR that Ali Raza, his sister and three other family members and friends connived in the kidnapping.

The hospital's CCTV camera recorded two burqa-clad women carrying away a new-born. According to Shaikh, her daughter Kashaf tied a marital knot with Raza on April 18, 2025. But she returned to her home around three months after their wedding, complaining that she was subjected to domestic violence and evicted from her husband's house.
