Punjab approves 10 Sahulat bazaars

RAWALPINDI:

The Sahulat Bazaar Authority Rawalpindi has approved a project to establish 10 large model Sahulat Bazaars in the divisional headquarters of all 10 divisions of Punjab to provide affordable, quality food and essential items.

These permanent markets will include warehouses, large shops, shaded waiting areas, and parking facilities. Wholesale and retail outlets will offer vegetables, fruits, grocery items, meat, and chicken. The total estimated cost of the project is Rs1.43 billion. The bazaars will be constructed in three separate phases.

In phase one (cluster one), markets will be built in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, and Gujrat at an estimated cost of Rs613.92 million. Phase two (cluster two) includes Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, and Sargodha, with an estimated cost of Rs453.48 million.
