'Woman burnt by in-laws'

The family of 25-year-old Mariya Khokhar in Mirpurkhas has approached the police to register an FIR, alleging that she was deliberately set on fire and killed. Meanwhile, the victim's mother-in-law has denied the accusation.

Mariya Khokhar, a mother of three residing in the jurisdiction of Tang Police Station, mysteriously suffered severe burns at her home on the evening of February 26 and later succumbed to her injuries. The incident was initially treated as an accident.

Mariya's father, Manzoor Khokhar filed a complaint with the Tang Police Station alleging that his daughter was set on fire by her in-laws.
