KARACHI:

MQM-Pakistan Chairman and Federal Minister Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Wednesday extended heartfelt greetings to the Hindu community on the occasion of Holi.

In his message, he said that the traditions associated with the festival of colours reflect Pakistan's rich cultural diversity and serve as a strong symbol of social harmony. He added that the Hindu community is an integral part of Pakistani society and has consistently played a constructive role in the country's economic development, social stability and promotion of peaceful coexistence.

Dr Siddiqui reaffirmed that Pakistan's Constitution guarantees equal human rights and full religious freedom to all citizens without discrimination on the basis of religion, belief or ethnicity. He said MQM-P remains fully committed to ensuring the protection of the constitutional and legal rights of all minorities.

Highlighting the importance of interfaith harmony, he stressed the need to promote dialogue among different religions, ensure protection of places of worship and foster a culture of mutual respect in society. Such measures, he added, are essential for building a peaceful, inclusive and prosperous future.

He expressed best wishes for the Hindu community.
