Man accused of 'selling' wife
.

Police have registered a case against a man on charges of allegedly selling his wife, rescued the woman, and arrested three suspects.
According to officials, Sabir Hussain lodged a complaint with Mamun Kanjan police, stating that he had married his daughter to Noor Samad around 20 years ago. The couple had four children.
The complainant alleged that Noor developed hostility towards his wife over time and, in order to continue his immoral activities, conspired with Fatima, a resident of Tandlianwala, to get rid of her.
He alleged that about 10 years ago, Noor, along with two women, sold his wife to Ali Gul, a resident of Goth Garhi in Sindh. The accused allegedly served her tea laced with intoxicants, rendering her unconscious before taking her away. She was allegedly kept in illegal confinement.
The complainant stated that whenever he enquired about his daughter's whereabouts, his son-in-law avoided giving clear answers. On February 27, the woman managed to contact her family through a girl in Faisalabad. Subsequently, Sabir, accompanied by Atif and Mehboob Hassan, travelled to Goth Garhi and rescued her.
