Pindi on high alert amid border tensions

In view of the prevailing border and security situation, police and other security agencies in Rawalpindi have been placed on high alert. Rawalpindi Police conducted a late-night flag march across the city as a show of preparedness.
Security forces remain on heightened vigilance throughout Rawalpindi and its surrounding areas, with daily search and combing operations under way. Police are also carrying out random snap-checking at various points.
On the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Khalid Hamdani, Rawalpindi Police staged a flag march late last night to demonstrate operational readiness and resolve.
The march was led by Operations SSP Malik Tariq Mehmood and was attended by divisional SPs, SDPOs, SHOs, Dolphin Squad units and Elite Commandos. The procession commenced from Police Lines Headquarters, passed through various parts of the city, and concluded at the same venue.
Speaking on the occasion, Operations SSP Malik Tariq Mehmood said that the purpose of the flag march was to reaffirm the Rawalpindi Police's commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring foolproof security arrangements.
