Balakot shooting victim laid to rest

Javed Ali, a social media celebrity in Balakot and also known as Mahandry, was laid to rest on Tuesday following his death in a police shooting shortly before Iftar. A large number of citizens attended his funeral prayers.

The incident occurred when a police officer named Shahid, stationed at Balakot police station, opened fire on Javed Ali a short time before Iftar.

The immediate aftermath saw a significant gathering of local residents and family members taking to the streets in protest, placing the deceased's body on the road. The situation escalated when the crowd turned towards the police station.
