Four 'bike snatchers' arrested

In separate encounters, Quetta police arrested four alleged members of a motorcycle snatching gang after intense exchanges of fire in Pashtun Abad

and Sariab areas, officials said.

According to police, SHO Pashtun Abad Rozi Khan, while on routine patrol with his team, signaled two suspicious motorcyclists to stop.

The suspects opened fire and attempted to flee. In retaliatory action, police wounded and arrested three suspects identified as Muhammad Noman, Ashraf, and another accomplice. They recovered weapons and a motorcycle from their possession.

One police officer was also injured in the shootout. In a parallel operation, SHO Shahid Mahmoodur-Rehman Sariab, Majid Khan, and his team were conducting checks on Link Shahwani Road when they attempted to stop two unidentified motorcyclists. The riders fired at police and tried to escape. Officers responded effectively, injuring and apprehending suspects Rahmatullah and Ghulam Muhammad. A motorcycle, a pistol, and rounds were seized.
