RAWALPINDI:

The process of providing healthcare services at people's doorsteps has commenced in Rawalpindi district, with female Community Health Inspectors beginning household registrations.

Following registration and data collection through a dedicated mobile application, the provision of essential medical treatment and healthcare facilities will formally begin.

A total of 1,120 Lady Community Health Inspectors are to be recruited across the Rawalpindi district. So far, recruitment of 320 inspectors has been completed, and they have initiated door-to-door family registration and data collection. The recruitment process for the remaining 800 inspectors is currently underway.

Appointments are being made on the basis of relevant qualifications and required training. Each Lady Community Health Inspector will receive a monthly salary of Rs50,000. It has also been made mandatory that inspectors are assigned to areas close to their homes to minimise transportation difficulties.

DHA CEO, Dr Ehsan Ghani, said that once household registration is completed, a structured mechanism will be implemented to ensure follow-up contact, home visits, provision of essential medicines, medical check-ups and necessary diagnostic tests.
