Cardi B confirms split from Stefon Diggs as source cites trust issues and focus on children

Cardi B has confirmed she is no longer in a relationship with Stefon Diggs, with a source claiming trust issues contributed to the split.

Speculation began ahead of the Super Bowl, in which the New England Patriots later lost 13-31 to the Seattle Seahawks.

When asked what she wanted to say to Diggs before the game, Cardi responded with “good luck”. The brief remark circulated online, prompting fans to question the status of their relationship.

She later addressed the situation during a concert in Los Angeles while responding to comments made by rapper BIA on social media. BIA had written, “Can u name someone with more [baby mamas] than receiving yards? I can! and I know that… [you know what, never mind.”

Cardi defended Diggs during the show, telling the audience: “Just because I ain’t f—ing with my baby daddy doesn’t mean you get to talk about my baby daddy,” before playing her track Pretty & Petty, which some fans believe references the Boston native.

The former couple welcomed a son in November 2025. Neither Cardi nor Diggs has publicly detailed the reasons behind their separation. However, a source told People that “things were getting too heated and complicated. Cardi is very no-nonsense.”

“The second she felt that she couldn’t trust him, she pulled back to focus on her kids, her music and tour,” the source added.

“She needs stability and wants the same for her kids,” the insider continued, suggesting that while they are currently apart, “They co-parent and the door is not completely closed. They might reconnect in the future.”

Diggs has not publicly commented on the split rumours.
