Driver, companion flee after late-night crash in DHA Karachi, police launch hunt

A delivery rider was critically injured in a traffic accident late Sunday night at the Khayaban-e-Ittehad Saba traffic signal in Karachi, and CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced.
Police said the crash occurred within the jurisdiction of Sahil police station.
Footage shows a speeding car attempting to avoid a motorcyclist at the signal before crashing into a footpath, overturning onto the adjacent road, and striking a motorcycle carrying the rider.
The injured man was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre in critical condition. Two young men travelling in the overturned vehicle fled the scene.
Sahil SHO Hikmatullah told The Express Tribune the victim was identified as 32-year-old Farhan, son of Gul Zaman, a resident of Hijrat Colony. He said the vehicle involved was travelling at a very high speed.
Police have taken the car into custody and launched a search for the suspects. Sources said the suspects escaped in a white double-cabin vehicle.
