Nicki Minaj has sparked widespread online debate after describing a Donald Trump-signed Bible as “one of the most meaningful gifts I've ever received in my entire life.”

The rapper shared an image of a leather-bound “God Bless the USA” Bible, a King James Version produced in partnership with country singer Lee Greenwood.

The edition signed by Trump reportedly retails for $1,000. Minaj’s caption offered no further explanation, hashtags or follow-up.

Within hours, the post generated tens of thousands of likes, thousands of comments and millions of views, prompting discussion across social media platforms.

Critics and supporters alike focused on both the political and religious implications of a former US president signing a Holy Bible.

One verified user, Kyle Yates, wrote: “I cannot FATHOM ever putting my signature onto the Word of God. I cannot FATHOM ever putting my name on the Holy Bible and selling it. How are we — as Christians — not more upset by stuff like this?!”

Others questioned the symbolism of the signature. Spencer Hakimian wrote: “The guy that signed it hasn't read a single page of it.” Another user posted: “So is no one else going to talk about how weird it is that Trump signed the Holy Bible as if he wrote it?”

The reaction also revived a past interview in which Trump declined to name a favourite Bible verse, calling it “very personal” and saying, “I think it's just an incredible — the whole Bible is an incredible...”

Minaj has appeared at several Trump-linked events over the past year and has publicly discussed religious freedom as part of her political views.
