Troye Sivan is 'losing touch with reality' after bingeing 'The Pitt'
The 'Strawberry And Cigarettes' singer jokes that 'I can't leave the house because i work in an ER'

Troye Sivan has shared a humorous glimpse into his latest binge-watch obsession, revealing that HBO’s medical drama The Pitt has him feeling like he’s stepped straight into the emergency room himself.
The pop star took to his Instagram Stories to admit he’s been so hooked on the series that it’s starting to blur the lines between fiction and reality. “Today i have watched so much of The Pitt that i am losing touch with reality - i can't leave the house because i work in an ER,” Sivan wrote. “I know how to fix these patients (intubation). The medical community (of which i am a part) is incredible.”

His tongue-in-cheek post quickly resonated with fans, many of whom have been similarly engrossed in the intense hospital-set drama, which has become a buzzy streaming hit.
The Pitt follows a team of emergency physicians and nurses navigating high-stakes medical crises, long shifts and emotional burnout inside a busy urban hospital. The series has seen growing attention for its gritty realism, rapid-fire pacing and its portrayal of the emotional toll that frontline healthcare workers face.
Created as a character-driven ensemble drama, the show focuses on the human stories behind the medical cases, exploring how doctors and nurses balance life-or-death decisions with their own personal struggles. Its unfiltered depiction of ER life, from trauma cases to moments of quiet compassion, has struck a chord with viewers and critics alike.
Sivan, who is known for balancing his music career with acting roles, has often spoken about his love of film and television, and his latest post suggests The Pitt has become his most recent screen fixation.
While the singer clearly isn’t trading the stage for scrubs anytime soon, his playful comment highlights just how immersive the series has become for audiences, even making fans feel, if only for a moment, like they’re part of the medical team themselves.
