KARACHI: Police inspector Aamir Khan, who was nicknamed ‘Chul Bul Panday’ after a good cop character in one of Bollywood’s Salman Khan movies, has become the subject of an investigation in a robbery case. The former station house officer of the New Karachi Industrial Area is alleged to have snatched Rs185,000 from a man who had just stepped out of a bank with the cash. DIG West Imran Yaqoob confirmed the incident to The Express Tribune, but denied that the serving officer has been arrested. “An FIR has been lodged by a man, who says the person who took the money away from him was the officer Aamir Khan,” Yaqoob said. The DIG says that SSP Central Captain Asim was directly supervising the case and has asked Khan to clarify his position.
