Lana Del Rey has confirmed that new music is arriving with the single “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter”, set for release on February 17.

The singer announced the date on Saturday and described the track as her “favourite song” and “the one I’ve been waiting for.” The record features songwriting contributions from her husband, Jeremy Dufrene, and her brother-in-law, Jason Pickens, alongside long-time collaborator Jack Antonoff.

Lana spoke directly to fans in an online message and said, “I just wanted to make a little message and let you know that my new single, the one I’ve been waiting for, ‘White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,’ is coming out on the 17th,” Lana explained to her fans. “ I really want you to focus on this single. I’m really happy about it. Finally going to be out.”

She added that Dean Reed and Laura Sisk have mixed the single, and that Lana and Antonoff “finally found that magical chord.” Lana also mentioned her brother-in-law, Jason Pickens, as a co-writer on the single alongside Jack Antonoff.

Responding to questions about her next album, which has been anticipated for a long time, Lana said it was coming “soon,” but noted that physical production would take time.

She told fans: “You’re asking about the record, but honestly, soon, because vinyl takes three months,” Lana explained to her fans. “So we have three months plus two weeks. It could be give or take.”

While there is no official word on the release date of the next album, the singer said the single would arrive first and mark her next major release after the latest studio era.
