Emergency response plan devised following imambargah blast

RAWALPINDI:

An emergency plan has been prepared to deal with any accidental or unforeseen situation by pre-linking anticipated high-risk locations with nearby local dispensaries and Clinics on Wheels.

A quick response mechanism and an immediate first-aid protocol have been enforced to ensure timely medical assistance before shifting patients to major hospitals.

According to officials, dispensaries closest to imambargahs, mosques, and other important locations across the district have been marked as "on alert".

These sites have also been linked with Clinics on Wheels, whose movement will follow a quick response principle upon information received from Rescue 1122. This initiative has been termed "strategic deployment of Clinics on Wheels."

Specialised and effective medical teams have been constituted, comprising senior medical officers, female medical officers, gynaecologists and paramedical staff.

These teams have been deployed at high-priority locations. Meanwhile, existing dispensaries along with mobile units and Clinics on Wheels have been designated as a high-alert network.
