Clear weather forecast for Basant in Lahore

LAHORE:

As the provincial capital awaits Basant with abated breath, the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has forecast pleasant weather during the festival.

According to the authority, Lahore will remain dry from February 6 to 8, with partly cloudy skies and temperatures expected to range between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius.

While rain and snowfall are forecast for northern areas, colder conditions may intensify in upper regions due to precipitation.

The PDMA has urged citizens to adopt precautionary measures, particularly during kite flying, advising caution around electric wires and rooftops, complete avoidance of metallic or chemical strings, and the use of helmets and neck protectors by motorcyclists.
