The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has completed a specialised Nephrology training programme for six doctors from Sudan. The programme for overseas doctors is part of one initiated by SIUT to help developing countries in specialised fields such as urology, nephrology and transplantation. SIUT has already trained a good number of doctors from Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Dr Abu Bakr, a doctor visiting as an external examiner from Sudan for other medical institutions, acknowledged the institute’s efforts while Dr Suhair Abdel Rahim spoke on behalf of his group and complimented the high standards of training. Dr Suhair is a practicing nephrologist in a teaching hospital of Khartoum. press release
