Four suspected outlaws killed in 'encounters'

Officers foil theft and respond to attacks, recovering weapons and batteries

The Sukkur and Hyderabad district police shot dead four suspected outlaws in separate encounters on Friday and Saturday. The cops of Dabbar police station claimed of foiling a theft of batteries from a tower of a cellular company, located on a link road.

The police claimed that six armed dacoits, who were stealing batteries from the tower, assaulted the police as they watched them approaching. Two suspects, Shuhaib Khoso and Ahmed Ali, were killed in the exchange of firing while four of their accomplices escaped. SSP Sukkur claimed that the gang was allegedly involved in theft, robberies and vehicle snatching crimes. According to him, the gang had recently killed a citizen, Sanaullah Gabol, in a robbery in the jurisdiction of Jhangro police station.

Meanwhile, cops of Naseem Nagar check post in Hyderabad shot dead two suspects in an encounter near Abdullah Garden housing scheme.

The police claimed that the slain suspects had attacked three fighter policemen when they were signalled to stop for checking late night.

A police mobile van later joined the fighter cops in the exchange of firing in which Allahyar Malano and Hazar Malano were gunned down.
