Man gets life term for killing daughter

A court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs500,000 after his guilt was proven in the murder of his daughter.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Jaranwala, Muhammad Safdar, announced the verdict in a case registered at Saddar Jaranwala police station.
The convict, Muhammad Saleem, was awarded life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs500,000, besides sentences under other relevant sections of the law, and was sent to jail.
According to the prosecution, the accused, Saleem, killed his daughter following a domestic dispute.
After the registration of the case, police arrested the accused, submitted the challan with solid evidence, and effectively pursued the case.
In light of the prosecution's case, the court awarded the sentence to the accused.
Meanwhile, in Dijkot a man allegedly entered a house and stabbed a 42-year-old man to death while injuring his daughter following a minor dispute.
Ayub Masih, a resident of Christian Basti, had asked 18-year-old Nabi not to stand outside his house.
Enraged, the suspect allegedly forced his way into the house and attacked Ayub Masih and his daughter, Jessica, with a dagger, inflicting serious injuries. Ayub Masih died on the spot while being shifted to hospital, whereas his injured daughter was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Upon receiving information, senior police officers reached the scene, took the body into custody and shifted it to hospital for legal formalities. The accused was arrested, and further investigation is underway.
