Ariana Grande responds after Vogue Japan editing error adds extra finger in images
Ariana Grande joked about Vogue Japan editing error after fans spotted an extra finger in her recent photoshoot

Ariana Grande has addressed an editing error that appeared to give her an extra finger in images from a recent Vogue Japan photoshoot.
The singer and actor shared a series of photographs from her Vogue Japan cover story on Instagram last week. In one image, Grande is seen wearing a yellow Dior outfit paired with sheer white gloves.
Shortly after the images were posted, fans noticed what appeared to be an additional finger between her ring and pinky fingers.
The altered image began circulating on fan accounts on Thursday, prompting a brief response from Grande, who wrote, “holy s**t.” She later followed up with a longer comment acknowledging the mistake.
“Oh my goodness how exciting! I've been saying I need some extra appendages so that I can start an album! Thankful for this,” the 32-year-old added.
Following the online reaction, Vogue Japan corrected the image on its website. Representatives for the magazine have not publicly commented on how the error occurred.
The photoshoot accompanied an interview in which Grande spoke about maintaining perspective during a demanding period in her career. She credited her mother, Joan Grande, with helping her stay grounded.
“I feel like there have been a lot of times when I've been doing my best work creatively, and yet my celebrity has been louder than the work,” she said.
“And my mom has always been here to set the record straight in my head and remind me of my worth as an artist and as a human being every time that noise has almost derailed me.”
Grande is currently preparing for The Eternal Sunshine Tour, which is scheduled to begin in June. The tour follows a busy period for the artist, who continues to balance music projects with acting commitments.
