Zac Efron named in testimony during Alexander Brothers federal sex trafficking trial
Efron was mentioned in court testimony in the Alexander Brothers trial, with no allegations made against the actor

Zac Efron has been referenced during testimony in the federal sex trafficking trial involving the Florida-based Alexander Brothers, drawing public attention despite no allegations being made against the actor.
According to a report cited from courtroom proceedings in Manhattan, the government’s first witness, testifying under the pseudonym Katie Moore, described events linked to a 2012 party held at an apartment in New York City associated with Efron. The witness told jurors that she was invited to the gathering, which she described as initially appearing to be a positive social occasion before later events unfolded elsewhere.
Moore testified that after the party, she allegedly accompanied Alon Alexander, one of the brothers on trial alongside Tal and Oren Alexander, to their home. She claimed that she was sexually assaulted there and stated that she told him, “I don’t want to have sex with you.” According to her testimony, he responded, “You already did,” before allegedly assaulting her again. She said she was pushed back down when she attempted to get up.
The witness told the court that she had only minimal interaction with Efron during the party and made clear that she is not accusing the actor of any wrongdoing. Efron has not been charged or named as a defendant in the case, and his inclusion in testimony relates solely to the location of the initial gathering described by the witness.
Efron rose to international prominence as a teen actor, gaining widespread recognition for his role as Troy Bolton in the High School Musical film series between 2006 and 2008.
The Alexander Brothers trial is ongoing, with prosecutors continuing to present witness testimony in federal court.
