Heated Rivalry viral fleece jacket, worn by Hudson Williams, becomes official merchandise
Official pricing and release date details of the fleece worn by Williams in the show are yet to be revealed

The fleece jacket from the hit television series Heated Rivalry that went viral on social media is now being produced as official merchandise, marking an unusual moment where fan demand directly influenced a show’s retail strategy.
Fans first noticed the unassuming yet eye‑catching Team Canada fleece jacket in Episode 2 of Heated Rivalry, where it was worn by the character Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams. The piece — a simple white zip‑up fleece adorned with red maple leaves on the shoulders and “Canada” written boldly on the back — quickly captured viewers’ attention for both its cozy aesthetic and its connection to the story’s themes.
The garment’s rise to internet fame was accelerated by social media users posting their own versions and styling ideas, and by an online petition calling for it to be released as official merchandise. One version of the petition garnered thousands of signatures as fans rallied behind the idea of making the fleece widely available.
In response to this groundswell of interest, Heated Rivalry producers Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady announced a collaboration with Canadian apparel brand Province of Canada to manufacture the fleece for sale. “Fans are the heart of Heated Rivalry, and the fleece jacket has been at the top of that list,” the producers said in a statement.
Costume designer Hanna Puley, who created the look for the series, explained that the fleece was originally designed to be comfortable and wearable, with a simple aesthetic that contrasted with other costumes on the show. Its appeal, she said in interviews, exceeded even the design team’s expectations.
The jacket’s popularity also sparked a broader cultural conversation. Fans from Canada and beyond have embraced it not just as a fashion item but as a symbol of inclusivity and connection to the show’s characters and narratives. Some viewers even adapted the design themselves before the official announcement, creating homemade versions and sharing them online.
While Province of Canada is preparing to make the jacket available for pre‑order, official pricing and release date details have not yet been announced. The partnership suggests the product will reflect the brand’s focus on quality and Canadian manufacturing, and fans are already signing up for updates on availability.
The announcement has generated excitement across social media, with fans expressing enthusiasm and speculation about demand, availability, and the possibility that similar merchandise will follow.
