PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Khaliqur Rehman on Wednesday stressed that there is no room for negligence, incompetence, or dishonesty in the health sector, noting that medical profession is directly linked to human lives.

Addressing the white coat and oath-taking ceremony at Khyber Girls Medical College (KGMC), the health minister urged students to uphold the highest ethical standards throughout their careers.

He noted that white coat and oath-taking ceremony marks a historic and significant milestone in the professional journey of medical students.

He said that the oath taken today is not merely a set of words, but a lifelong commitment to serving humanity, maintaining integrity, professional competence, and upholding ethical values.

The minister emphasised that medicine is a noble and sacred profession that must be practiced above personal interests and greed.
