Police warn of threats to ATC judges

The Punjab Police has forwarded a proposal to purchase 11 new luxury vehicles to enhance judicial security because of security threats faced by the anti-terrorism court (ATC) judges.
According to sources, the Punjab inspector general of police has forwarded a summary seeking Rs238.6 million to the chief minister for the procurement and bulletproofing of the vehicles.
The summary was prepared by the Lahore security division DIG of police who serves as the focal person for judicial security. The official stated that the country's judicial system was under security threat.
