Sukkur resident killed in Gul Plaza laid to rest

Mayor Arsalan Islam Sheikh on Sunday attended the funeral of Sheikh Muhammad Athar Hassan, a resident of Sukkur who lost his life in the tragic fire incident at Gul Plaza.

He expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the deceased's soul. Sheikh Muhammad Athar Hassan, a father of two sons and two daughters had gone to Gul Plaza to purchase necessary items for arranging Tarawih prayers during Ramadan.

The incident has left a prosperous family devastated and the entire city in grief. In a statement to the media, Sheikh emphasized that the loss of innocent lives should be met with collective responsibility and national unity, rather than politics.
