KARACHI:

Students from TABS College of Science Girls Section, Hyderabad, won the ninth cycle of Enterprise Challenge Pakistan with their innovative project, Nebulavolt-a fog-to-electricity safety device designed for fog-prone regions. The low-cost solution uses a hydrophilic mesh to capture fog and converts the energy of water droplets into clean electricity through triboelectric nanogenerators.

The generated power can be used to operate streetlights, traffic signals and roadside systems, improving visibility, reducing road accidents, cutting energy costs and supporting safer, eco-friendly highways and smart cities.

The National Final was hosted in Karachi on January 24 by the British Deputy High Commissioner, Lance Domm, in partnership with King's Trust International and SEED Ventures.
