Burglars inspired by films held
Police arrested two burglars who confessed to committing crimes inspired by films.
The suspects were apprehended from Phool Nagar by Faisal Town police after being ordered to trace those involved in a recent burglary in a house in their area.
Police officials said CCTV footage had helped identify the suspects.
In one of the recordings, a suspect was seen entering a house in a dramatic manner, which helped the investigators establish the modus operandi of the gang.
During initial interrogation, the suspects confessed that they
had begun committing crimes after being influenced by scenes from films.
They confessed that they had burgled the house in Faisal Town a few days earlier.
The arrested suspects, Waqas and Azeem, were wanted by police in several cases of theft, robbery and other crimes.
The police recovered seven stolen mobile phones, cash and a pistol from their possession.
Officials said investigations against the suspects were continuing.
