Senior lawyers have challenged the Lahore High Court Bar Association's (LHCBA) leadership, accusing it of issuing a misleading press release regarding proposed amendments to the bar's rules and announcing protests if elections are held through a biometric system.
Addressing a news conference the lawyers said a general house meeting was held at the high court bar on January 22, during which a resolution seeking amendments to the bar's rules was presented but rejected by the majority of members.
