DERA ISMAIL KHAN:

JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday condoled with the families of five people martyred in a suicide bombing that struck a wedding ceremony in Dera Ismail Khan, denouncing the attack as not just an assault on a social gathering but a blow that deeply scars society's collective conscience.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved families, the JUI-F chief said he shared their grief and anguish, adding that such incidents leave society "gasping in pain" long after the immediate tragedy has passed.

He warned that recurring acts of violence were steadily eroding public trust and amplifying a broader sense of insecurity across the country.

He slammed the state's handling of internal security, saying that while government institutions and security forces frequently highlighted their sacrifices and efforts to maintain peace, the lived reality for citizens tells a different story.
