Death toll rises to six in DI Khan suicide blast

The death toll from a suicide bombing at a wedding ceremony in Dera Ismail Khan rose to six, including the head of a local peace committee, while seven others were injured, officials said on Saturday.
The attack occurred late Friday night near Qureshi Mor during the wedding celebrations. A suicide bomber detonated explosives amid the gathering, causing panic and devastation at the venue.
Those killed in the blast were identified as Peace Committee head Abdul Waheed, also known as Jagri; Advocate Abdul Majeed Lagari; contractor Rehmanullah; Shahzad Abdulai; Inayatullah; and Chhota Waheed. The injured were named as Waris Khan, Noor Alam Masood, Tauheedullah, Rehman Khan, Sohail Khan Barki, and Nazidullah. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, where some were stated to be in critical condition.
According to preliminary investigation reports, the suicide bomber was identified as Abdul Rehman Afghani, believed to have been born in Pakistan around 2003 or 2004. Investigators said his parents had migrated from Afghanistan and lived in a refugee camp near Kohat.
