'Rs1.5b bailout' proposed for Urdu University

ISLAMABAD:

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary informed the Senate on Friday that a bailout package worth Rs 1.5 billion has been proposed to address the financial crisis facing the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST).

Responding to a calling attention notice raised by Senator Sarmad Ali, the minister said that the Prime Minister had earlier approved a similar bailout package for Quaid-e-Azam University. He said that all financial issues of FUUAST would be resolved once the proposed bailout package is approved.
