Four family members die in generator fumes
.

A tragic incident in a Khanewal village claimed the lives of a man, his wife, and their two young children after they were overcome by poisonous fumes from a running generator.
According to reports, Muhammad Asif, a resident of Basti Balochan, ran a small dairy business. Due to unscheduled power outages, he feared that the milk stored in his refrigerator and deep freezer would spoil.
To prevent this, he switched on a generator and fell asleep in the same room along with his wife Nadia and sons Daniyal and Hafza.
During the night, the family was reportedly overcome by toxic generator fumes, causing suffocation and resulting in their deaths. The incident came to light around 10 a.m. when neighbors visited the house and discovered the tragedy.
The Station House Officer of Nawan Shehar Police Station, Saad bin Saeed, arrived at the scene and conducted an initial investigation.
The bodies of all four family members were transferred to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Kabirwala.
Preliminary reports indicate that the generator fumes were the likely cause of death, though the final cause will be confirmed after post-mortem examinations.
