LHC begins process to fill vacant posts
.

Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Aalia Neelum has decided to fill all approved judges' positions in the provincial high court and has initiated the process for appointing judges to vacant posts.
The approved strength of judges in the LHC is 60, but currently 42 judges, including the chief justice, are performing duties, while 18 positions remain vacant.
Due to these vacancies, the caseload has increased, placing an additional burden on serving judges. Once the appointments are made, the provincial high court will, for the first time in its history, operate at full strength. The move is expected to help in the timely disposal of cases.
