Encounter solves 200 motorway robberies

MULTAN:

Crime Control Department (CCD) personnel killed a proclaimed offender allegedly involved in more than 200 robberies on motorways, while his two accomplices escaped.

According to sources, a CCD team was present near Pul Nahar when the three suspects riding a motorcycle approached from the NLC bypass. When signaled to stop, they opened fire on the police.

During the exchange of fire, a CCD constable received two bullet hits on his chest but remained safe due to a bulletproof jacket. After the firing stopped, two unidentified suspects fled towards Ibn-e-Sina Hospital Road on the motorcycle, while the third was found critically injured on the roadside.
