Sisterly status of Silicon Valley, NSIT City discussed

Punjab Chief Minister's Senior Advisor Anusha Rahman has said that the provincial government is actively welcoming international investment in the technology sector and providing maximum facilitation to investors.

Speaking to United States Consul General Stetson Sanders who called on her along with a delegation, she said companies operating in the Nawaz Sharif IT City in Lahore were being offered 10-year income tax exemption along with customs duty relief.

She expressed the desire for Nawaz Sharif IT City and Silicon Valley, California, to be granted the status of sister cities.

The US diplomat expressed interest in various local digital projects, particularly the IT city. According to a statement, he welcomed the proposal to establish sister city relations between Lahore and California in the technology sector.
