KARACHI:

People of Balochistan are patriotic, peace-loving and actively contributing to Pakistan's progress," said Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Member of the Provincial Assembly Farah Azeem Shah on Sunday. Farah rejected what she described as false and hostile propaganda against the country and the province.

Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, she said that certain individuals and groups were spreading misinformation in collaboration with hostile forces, but stressed that such efforts would fail in the face of national unity.

"Balochistan is the heart of Pakistan, and Pakistan is our identity and life," she said, adding that the province had played a vital role in the creation and development of the country. She called upon citizens to stand united alongside the armed forces of Pakistan, describing unity as the nation's greatest strength.

Farah Azeem Shah highlighted the positive role of Pakistani media, praising reporters and anchors for responsible journalism and countering false narratives. She said Pakistan's media had exposed exaggerated and misleading claims made by foreign outlets.

She also underscored the talent emerging from Balochistan, citing examples such as Farah Yousaf, an international football referee from Noshki; Ahmed Ibn Sakina, a Kathak dancer who has earned global recognition; and Dr Nami, a gynecologist from Qalat providing vital healthcare services to women.
