Man, two daughters among 8 killed in traffic crashes

Eight people, including a man and his two daughters, lost their lives in traffic accidents in Faisalabad, while seven others, including a woman and her two daughters, were injured.

A car coming from Islamabad collided with an overturned sugarcane-laden tractor-trolley near the Sahiwal Interchange in Chak Jhumra. The car's 50-year-old occupant Adil and his eight-year-old daughter Ayesha and 12-year-old Hadiya died on the spot. Adil's wife Tahseen, 42, daughter Aimaima, 12, and 45-year-old Amara were injured. They were shifted to a hospital.

The police registered a case against the tractor-trolley driver and launched a search for him.

In another incident near Lakharwala on Lahore-Jaranwala road, a speeding car hit a motorcycle. The motorcyclist, Muhammad Anwar, suffered critical injuries and later died. Police took the body into custody and began legal proceedings.

In another incident near Satyana Khurd, a vehicle hit a motorcycle carrying two students amid fog. Seventeen-year-old Tayyab died of his injuries, while Zain was hospitalised.

In Madina Town, 32-year-old Junaid Hussain died after being accidentally run over by his father's car while returning from a friend's house.

Near Adda Gujar Singhwala on Sheikhupura Road, a bus hit a motorcycle, killing 35-year-old Aqsa Saleem and her eight-month-old daughter, Aniza Fatima. Her husband Saleem, 55, and daughter Urooj, 22, were injured. The bus driver fled the scene.

Additionally, Sub-Inspector Clerk Supurd Ali of Saddar Police Station was injured in a motorcycle accident on Makooana-Khanwana road.

The police handed over the bodies of the road accidents' victims to the heirs after completing legal formalities and launched efforts to trace the drivers involved in the accidents.
