'Two dacoits held after shootout'

ISLAMABAD:

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested two armed dacoits in an injured condition after an exchange of fire during a checking operation in the Sangjani area of the federal capital.

A police spokesperson said the incident occurred when a police team set up a checkpoint in the Sangjani Police Station limits and attempted to stop suspicious individuals. Instead of complying, four armed dacoits riding on two motorcycles tried to flee the scene. The spokesperson said the police team showed courage and professionalism and chased the suspects.
