MPs push for stronger social media laws

Members of parliament across all parties on Saturday raised alarms about the increasing influence of social media, urging for laws similar to those in other nations and agreeing on the need for swift, responsible measures to ensure social media is used for the greater good of society and the country's future.

While speaking exclusively with a local media news channel, members of Parliament highlighted the need for social media laws to protect youth, drawing inspiration from successful international legislation.
