Two-day flower show at KPC
The two-day spring-themed flower show at the Karachi Press Club features more than 100 varieties of flowers, including chrysanthemums, along with palms and other ornamental plants, which attracted special attention from visitors. The colourful exhibition truly reflects the spirit of spring.
The show, organised by the Karachi Press Club in collaboration with Gulberg Town on Saturday, marked the arrival of spring season. The exhibition was formally inaugurated by Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, Chairman Gulberg Town Nusratullah, President Karachi Press Club Fazil Jameeli, Vice President Irshad Khokhar, Secretary Aslam Khan, Treasurer Imran Ayub, Joint Secretary Farooq Sami, and former secretaries Rizwan Bhatti and Shoaib Ahmed.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad said Karachi is a city full of lights, colours, and life, but unfortunately its positive image has faded into the background. He said flower shows and cultural activities play an important role in highlighting the city's beautiful and softer face. He emphasised that in a large city like Karachi, such exhibitions should not be limited to the Press Club alone but should also be organised in different areas so that citizens can enjoy the beauty of nature.
Chairman Gulberg Town Nusratullah said flowers symbolise love, peace, and beauty. Promoting such activities in Karachi, he added, would not only provide positive recreation to citizens but also help improve the overall environment of the city. He congratulated the Karachi Press Club administration on organising the flower show.
