Afridi leads rallies in Haripur, Abbottabad
Urges public to join protest for democracy

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has announced that preparations for a nationwide street movement, directed by PTI Founding Chairman Imran Khan, are actively underway across the country.
Speaking at a series of rallies and reception gatherings in Haripur, Abbottabad, and Mansehra, Afridi said the movement is being organized with "enthusiasm and determination" to convey Imran Khan's message to every corner of Pakistan.
Addressing supporters in Haripur, the Chief Minister emphasized that every city, village, and chowk will become a center of protest, declaring that "this time, every chowk will become D-Chowk, where people will raise their voices for their rights." He stressed that the movement aims to mobilize the public for the restoration of their rights and to challenge what he called repeated attacks on the public mandate.
"The people of Haripur are standing firmly with Imran Khan, but unfortunately, once again, the public mandate has been robbed," Afridi said. "An attack on the public mandate is, in fact, an attack on democracy, which cannot be accepted under any circumstances."
Afridi further highlighted visits to several districts of Punjab and Sindh, including Karachi, Lahore, Hyderabad, and Sargodha, where Imran Khan's message was delivered directly to the people. "The enthusiasm, passion, and commitment shown by the public in these cities clearly show that Imran Khan remains the voice of the people. Those who claimed he was finished should now see for themselves that his name resonates across the country," he added.
The Chief Minister described the movement as part of a broader struggle for "real freedom," emphasizing the objectives of restoring a strong democracy, an independent judiciary, and a free media. "No sacrifice will be spared to achieve these goals," he said, thanking the people of Hazara Division for their "passionate enthusiasm," which he described as a clear declaration of support for the movement.
Afridi concluded by affirming that the street movement will continue to grow and gather strength, underscoring that the PTI-led struggle is poised to reach its peak with public backing from every corner of the country.
