ISSI unveils Hali's 'Defence and Diplomacy'

The India Study Centre at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) organised the launch ceremony of the book "Defence and Diplomacy: A Compilation of Selected Articles by S M Hali."

Senator Nisar A Memon, former Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Defence and Defence Production, attended the event as Chief Guest, while Air Chief Marshal (retd) Sohail Aman, former Chief of Air Staff, was the Guest of Honour.

Other speakers included the author, Sultan Mehmood Hali; Ambassador Naela Chohan, former High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia; Vice Admiral (retd) Muhammad Haroon, former Vice Chief of Naval Staff; and Dr Aalia Sohail Khan, Country Director of the American Institute of Pakistan Studies.

In his welcome remarks, Ambassador Khalid Mahmood, Chairman, Board of Governors, ISSI, acknowledged the author's credentials, describing S M Hali as a prolific writer who has authored more than 10,000 articles over the past 22 years.
