Missing lawyer found murdered

ISLAMABAD:

The body of a 55-year-old lawyer, who had gone missing a day earlier from F-10 Al-Mustafa Towers, was recovered by police from the jurisdiction of I-9 police station in the federal capital.

According to sources, Muhammad Alam Sheikh lodged a report with the police stating that he resides in Sector H-13 and that his nephew, Sheikh Abdul Rauf Advocate, lived in a flat at F-10 Al-Mustafa Towers.

He said his nephew went missing a day earlier, after which police informed him that a body had been found lying at Plot No. 8 in Sector H-9/2 and shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). When Muhammad Alam Sheikh reached PIMS, he found his nephew's body soaked in blood.

The victim had been shot in the head by unidentified assailants. Police registered a case of blind murder. However, no clues regarding the suspects could be traced.
