Markiplier’s debut feature film Iron Lung has secured an international theatrical release after a major UK cinema chain confirmed it will screen the film nationwide.

Cineworld announced on January 9 that it will begin showing the horror film from January 29, 2026, one day before most large US chains start their screenings.

The project, based on the indie horror game of the same name, has been in development for several years. Throughout production, the American YouTube creator repeatedly stated that a theatrical release was a non-negotiable goal for the film.

Fans waited years for confirmation, before Markiplier announced in late 2025 that Iron Lung would be released in US cinemas.

Initial screenings were limited to smaller, independently owned theatres. Following strong demand from fans, larger American cinema chains including AMC, Cinemark and Regal later confirmed nationwide screenings beginning January 30, 2026.

Announcing the news on social media, Cineworld wrote: “You asked for Iron Lung. We’ve answered. Tickets for Iron Lung are NOW ON SALE at Cineworld. See it from January 29.” Following the announcement, fans in the UK shared messages online confirming ticket purchases and availability concerns.

In addition to the UK and US, Iron Lung is also scheduled to screen in selected Canadian cinemas, including locations in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. No further international releases have been formally announced at this time.
