He thanked participants for their active involvement and meaningful contributions

Under the Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, a conference on interfaith harmony was held on Wednesday at Holy Trinity Cathedral Church in Karachi. The event, focused on strategies for mutual understanding among religions, was attended by leaders from all major faiths in Pakistan.
State Minister for Religious Affairs Kheal Das Kohistani was the chief guest. He thanked participants for their active involvement and meaningful contributions, emphasising that societal challenges can only be addressed through harmony and mutual respect. He stressed that solutions to issues lie in unity and understanding among religions.
The conference included religious leaders from Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Sikh, Parsi, and Baha'i communities, as well as members of national and provincial assemblies, ambassadors, and civil society representatives. Minister Kohistani highlighted the recently introduced parliamentary policy on interfaith harmony and called for the inclusion of teachings promoting tolerance in school curricula from an early age. He also emphasised the media's vital role in fostering interfaith understanding and countering narratives of hatred.
