Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban waive spousal and child support while finalising divorce

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have finalised their divorce, with court documents outlining the custody and financial terms of their separation.

According to filings submitted on Tuesday, the former couple has agreed to waive all rights to child support and spousal support. Both Kidman and Urban cited reported monthly incomes exceeding $100,000 as the basis for the decision not to seek financial support from one another.

Under the agreement, the pair’s daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret will reside primarily with Kidman for 306 days each year. Urban has been granted parenting time every other weekend, amounting to 59 days annually. The custody arrangement was confirmed in the documents filed with the court.

The settlement also states that all shared property, including investments, bank accounts, household furniture, appliances, vehicles and personal belongings, will be divided by mutual agreement. Each party will retain possession of items currently in their care.

In addition, all claims for alimony and spousal support have been formally waived, and both Kidman and Urban are responsible for their own legal fees and related expenses. It is unclear whether a prenuptial agreement was in place.

Although a hearing had been scheduled, Kidman waived her right to appear in court after returning from Australia, where she had spent the holidays with her daughters. Reports of the finalised divorce emerged shortly after.

The couple separated in September 2025 after 19 years of marriage, with Kidman filing for divorce later that month citing “irreconcilable differences”. They had reportedly been living apart since early summer 2025. A source previously said, “Sometimes relationships just run their course,” adding that Kidman had hoped to save the marriage.

Kidman and Urban first met at a G’Day USA gala in January 2005 and married in 2006. Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001 and shares two adult children with him.
